This Privacy Policy explains how My Alpha-Gal ("the app," "we," "us") handles information. My Alpha-Gal is operated by Questyz LLC. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
The core of My Alpha-Gal is a private, on-device journal. The following information is stored locally on your phone only, in the app's private storage, and is never transmitted to Questyz LLC or any server we operate:
Because this data lives only on your device, we have no access to it, cannot view it, and cannot recover it for you. The app's trigger-correlation feature runs entirely on your device using this local data.
Your operating system may include the app's local data in your own device backup (Apple iCloud backup on iOS, or Auto Backup to your Google account on Android). Those backups are controlled by you and by Apple or Google under their privacy policies — not by us. You can disable them in your device settings.
The Community is optional. You can use the entire tracking side of the app without an account. If you choose to create an account and participate, we process the following through our backend provider, Supabase:
Please remember that anything you post in the Community is content you have chosen to make public to other members. Do not post private health details you wish to keep confidential. We keep your health logs and your Community activity separate; we do not copy your on-device tracking data into the Community or any server.
To keep the Community safe, we review reported content and may remove posts or suspend accounts that violate our community guidelines. Reports are visible only to our moderation team.
Optional paid features are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those purchases are handled entirely by Apple and Google. We receive confirmation of your purchase or subscription status, but we do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's and Google's privacy policies govern that transaction.
Your tracking data remains on your device until you delete individual entries or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes the local database from your device.
You may delete your Community account at any time from within the app or by emailing us at privacy@myalphagal.app. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated posts and comments from our active systems, subject to any limited retention required for safety, legal, or backup purposes.
On-device data is protected by your device's own security (passcode, biometrics, and OS-level app sandboxing). Community data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our provider, Supabase, using industry-standard safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
My Alpha-Gal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Community, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. Because your health logs are stored only on your device, you already control them directly. For Community data, contact us at privacy@myalphagal.app to make a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
My Alpha-Gal is an educational and organizational tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and its suggested "patterns" are for discussion with a qualified healthcare provider — not a diagnosis. Always seek the advice of your physician or allergist regarding your health.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
