My Alpha-Gal is made by Questyz LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("we," "us"). Contact: support@myalphagal.app.
Everything you log for tracking — meals, foods, symptoms, reactions, tick bites, and the Medical ID you fill in — is stored in a local database on your phone. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or have any access to it. If you use your device's backup (iCloud or Google backup), the operating system may include this local data in your personal backup under Apple's or Google's terms — that backup belongs to you, not us.
The optional "Export for my allergist" feature generates a PDF on your device; it is shared only when and where you choose to share it.
Creating a community account is optional. If you do, we collect and store:
Community data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase, encrypted in transit. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements, which involves an anonymous user identifier and your purchase history for this app only, used solely to unlock what you bought and restore it on reinstall.
You can delete your community account at any time in the app (You → Delete account). This permanently removes your account, profile, posts, comments, likes, photos, and reports from our servers. Your on-device health data is yours: deleting the app from your phone deletes it.
Community data is retained until you delete your account or content. We use industry-standard protections including encryption in transit and row-level access controls, so community members can only access what the app permits.
My Alpha-Gal is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Most of these you can exercise directly in the app; for anything else, email support@myalphagal.app and we will respond within 30 days.
My Alpha-Gal is an educational and tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and information in the app — including suspected-trigger patterns — should be discussed with a qualified healthcare provider.
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
If you choose to tap “I get this too” or “I react to this too,” we store one anonymous record: the name of that food or symptom, linked to your account solely to prevent duplicate counting and to let you remove it. These records are used only to show aggregate counts (for example, “2% of members also report this”) and are never displayed with your name, shown to other members individually, sold, or shared. You can remove any signal by tapping again, and deleting your account deletes all of your signals. This sharing is entirely optional — your meal, symptom, and reaction logs remain on your device regardless.
